Amber Rose Says Travi$ Scott Ghostwrites Kanye’s Music

arrives at the 2009 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 28, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.

arrives at the 2009 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 28, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.

“Stop playing niggas I used to fuck,” said Rose. “Why don’t we play the nigga that writes the songs for the other nigga—Travis Scott. Let’s go…He writes the songs for the other nigga. Let’s go.”

As music blog Fact points out:

We’d take her claims with a big pinch of salt: it’s well-known that the sessions for ‘Yeezus’ were group affairs, with various artists contributing to lyrics (The Weeknd, for instance, was involved but didn’t have an official feature on the final album, and King Louie has claimed that he contributed to several songs on the record).
Now, Amber, if you could please put down the mic let these good people get back to dancing.

Birdman Didn’t Show Up In Court And Now He Has To Pay Turk

Earlier this year, Turk sued Cash Money and Money Mack Music for $1.3 million in unpaid royalties.

Birdman didn’t respond to the suit by the March 11 deadline, and then ignored it again after his attorneys bought him a one month extension.

So earlier this week Turk’s lawyer filed a default motion, which would award Turk a settlement without a trial.

Today, the former Hot Boy jumped on Instagram and said he won the motion, and will soon be $1.3 million richer.

It could be that Birdman knew Turk was going to win the case, so he decided rather than waste too much of his lawyers’ time he’d just make Turk sweat it out and eventually default. But that doesn’t explain why he bothered to ask for that extension.

So maybe Cash Money is in disarray, financially or otherwise.

We’re pretty certain they won’t default on Lil Wayne’s $51 million case against them, though.

Update: Turk won’t necessarily get the $1.3 million he is asking. By granting default, the judge will determine the final amount.

Mark Wahlberg and Diddy Place $250K Bet on Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight

Either Mark Wahlberg or Diddy will be $250,000 richer afterFloyd Mayweather takes on Manny Pacquiao on May 2.

Diddy is predicting Mayweather will win, while Wahlberg is throwing his support behind Pacquiao. The friendly wager started at $100,000 before Wahlberg upped the ante to $250,000, per Showtime Sports:

Both of the stars have countless millions in the bank, so that kind of figure is just a drop in the water in terms of their overall net worth.

Plus, that bet is nothing compared to the $1.6 million 50 Cent said he planned to bet on Mayweather.

Watch the Official Trailer for ‘Fresh Dressed’

After premiering earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, the official trailer for Fresh Dressed is here. Directed by Mass Appeal‘s Creative Director, Sacha Jenkins SHR, the film explores how hip hop fashion influenced the larger industry and ultimately affected mass culture. The trailer opens with Kanye West—an artist whose brand is a synonymous with style as it is music—speaking about the importance of “getting fresh,” which he argues is more important than money. Nas, Pusha T, Puff Daddy, Andre Leon Talley, and more share their thoughts on the importance of hip hop fashion, and are just a handful of the numerous icons that appear in the film.

Mayweather to Bond Suge Knight Out if He Wins Fight

No one catches more breaks than Suge Knight.

In two days, Floyd Mayweather will step into the ring to fight Manny Pacquiao in one of, if not the single biggest boxing event in the history of the sport.

Right after he’s done with that, according to Suge Knight’s lawyer, he’s going to put $10 million towards Suge Knight’s $10 million bail. The video clip, released by the New York Daily News a short while ago, shows Knight’s lawyer detailing what be believes to be a key flaw in the prosecution’s argument, then revealing that following Mayweather’s fight Saturday, the filthy rich fighter will come back to Cali and help out Suge. According to the lawyer, Matthew Fletcher, Knight and Mayweather are “good friends,” and last week Mayweather inquired about the details of putting Knight’s bail up last week.
