TDE’s resident songstress, SZA, has been on the cusp of R&B stardom for the better part of the last few years, thanks in large part to the lone project she’s released on the label since signing with them in 2013, Z. Her follow-up won’t follow in the name-spelling tradition of her last two opuses–S and Z–but she’s certainly poised to release the biggest project of her career with her new album, CTRL. Now, we know when it’ll arrive: February 3.

SZA announced today that CTRL will be out on February 3, her first official release in nearly 3 years. In support of the album thus far, she’s released “Drew Barrymore,” a confident single tinged with both somber tones and an ironically liberating chorus, yet another example of the Jersey product’s ability to layer moods and ideals in her music. You can listen to “Drew Barrymore” here.

In an interview with Billboard, SZA not only revealed her album’s release date, but spoke extensively about her work with Rihanna. SZA appeared on and co-wrote the first track on Rihanna’s latest album, ANTI, “Consideration.”

“She wanted to work with me, and I played some jams that I was working on for myself, and it went from there,” the singer tells Billboard. “Rihanna doesn’t give a fuck about anyone around her. She’s in her own space at all times. But she’s not rude — she’s comfortable. As a shy person, that was something cool to witness.”

Mike Tyson Drops Soulja Boy Diss Official Video

Iron Mike drops lines like “Chris Brown’s gonna make you shit your pants” while a bunch of ladies lip sync along. Some are wearing bikinis in a hot tub, others are wearing business casual clothes on a basketball court. Yes, this is weird. It’s also the latest bid to promote the charity boxing match between Brown and Soulja Boy, which is supposedly taking place later this year in Dubai.

Bad as the song is, there is one obviously redeeming quality—the models.

The former heavyweight champ isn’t the only one who can cut horrible diss tracks. Soulja Boy, who’s got Floyd Mayweahter in his corner for the upcoming fight, just dropped his own diss track aimed at Brown and 50 Cent. Here’s how the song starts:

“Aye 50 Cent what you talking about?” Soulja says in the intro. “You made all that money off Vitamin Water and then filed for bankruptcy. You know I’mma knock Chris Brown out when I see him.”

T.I. Writes Letters to Barack Obama and Donald Trump

A little over a week ago on January 6th rapper T.I. penned a letter to President Barack Obama. T.I.’s letter was written to thank the President as he feels Obama, “Defined a culture, shook up and woke a generation”. He also stated the Barack Obama’s “legacy will live on” as he called for everyone who was inspired by Obama to take charge and do more including himself. This week the rapper has penned another letter, this time to President-elect Donald Trump. Throughout his letter he consistently emphasizes “US, WE and YOU” to acknowledge the separation between the people Trump has caused since his campaign began. T.I.’s letter isn’t necessarily bashing Trump but more so trying to provide an understanding as to how people of color feel in today’s society. Read both letters or take a listen below and tell us what you think.

J.Cole Releases Heartfelt Song

After releasing album ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ in December, which went gold and No.1 on Billboard 200. Today, J.Cole dropped a new song called “High for Hours.” The song is not on his recent album, but J. Cole is expressing his profound thoughts on oppression in America. A verse in the song goes, “American hypocrisy, oh, let me count the ways. They came here seekin’ freedom and they end up ownin’ slaves.” No doubt this song dropping on Martin Luther King Jr.’s day wasn’t a coincidence. Listen to the song below…
